Another truck crashed into the back end of her stopped truck and she jumped off the bridge to avoid being struck.

 Couple seriously injured when car hits their motorcycle

 

The  Wilmington post reported a couple remained in serious condition Tuesday afternoon

from injuries they got when a car struck their motorcycle Saturday night on U.S. 22 west of Wilmington

Stephen J. Gasaway, 41, of North Webb Road, Wilmington, was operating the motorcycle northeast

on U.S. 22. His wife, Karaann Gasaway, 39, was a passenger on themotorcycle.

Lt. J.J. Tibbs, commander of the Wilmington Post of the State Highway Patrol, said a 2006 Honda Accord

driven by Ashley A. Taft, 27, of Wilmington, who was traveling west on U.S. 22, struck the Gasaway’s

motorcycle. “Ms. Taft drove left of center striking the motorcycle,” The commander said the Gasaways both suffered serious

injuries. Taft was not injured.The Gasaways were both transported to Clinton Memorial Hospital and were then taken by

medical helicopters. Tibbs said one was taken to University Hospital in Cincinnati and the other to Miami Valley Hospital

The crash occurred at 10:40 p.m. Saturday on U.S. 22, three-tenths of a mile east of County near Webb .
